Benjamin Coble
Funeral Services for Benjamin Coble, 87, Civil war veteran, of Servia, who expired Sunday morning at the home of his sone Alfred Coble, near Servia, will be held Tuesday afternoon at Fairview church. Mr. Coble had been ill for three weeks.
During the war Mr. Coble served with the 18th Indiana Volunteer infantry for four years. He was a member of the G. A. R. Practically all his life has been spent in the Servia neighborhood. He was married to Margaraet Hull. She and five sons survive. They are: Alfred and Jacob of Servia; Samuel and Joe [sic-Harvey Wilson Coble, nicknamed Joe] of Huntington; and John of Muskogee, Okla.
Mr. Coble would have celebrated his 87th birthday today had he lived.
