Mr. Tyler was a stead fast mason and no man has been more faithful in attending the lodge. He was 62 years old and is survived by his wife and four sons and three daughters.

Per the 1860, 1880, 1900 and 1910 censuses, he was born in Alabama, as were both of his parents. I have not yet located him in the 1870 census.
