A short bio for Webster:
Washington Webster May was the oldest son of Judge Washington Taylor May and Margaret W. Johnson, born in 1841. Four of the May brothers fought for the Confederacy. Webster was killed in action at Clarksville, Tennessee on January 17, 1862. His younger brother John May was killed in action in Virginia in September of 1862. Two other younger brothers also fought but survived the war.
