CLAY CENTER - Services will be Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church here for Mrs. Edith W. Esslinger, 90, who died Sunday night at her home in the Bala community east of Clay Center. She was born March 11, 1882 at Burr Oak and lived in the Bala community many years. She was a member of the Bala Presbyterian Church since 1914.
She was married to Fred Esslinger, Sr. He died in April of 1961. A son, Fred Esslinger, Jr., died Feb. 9, 1964. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Ruth Leipersberger, riley, Mrs. Althea Bellinger, Manhattan, and Mildred Esslinger, at home; a son, Willis Esslinger, Wichita; 2 sisters, Mrs. Bernice Woodbury and Mrs. Nelle Lewis, both of Milford; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Bala Cemetery. Holmes Funeral Home at Riley is in charge of arrangements.
