Funeral services for Peggy Akin Peed, 76, of Hanceville will be held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Jim Laney officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem East Cemetery.
Mrs. Peed passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at UAB Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Alfred and Irene Harrel Akin and a brother, William E. Akin.
She is survived by three children, Deborah (Mike) Parker, Kenneth (Susan) Peed and Thad (Delilah) Peed; a brother, James Gary (Linda) Akin; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marge Akin; a nephew, Jamie Akin and a niece, Lorrie Ann Stricklin.
