CONCORD, NC - Mr. Clyde Eugene Barringer died on October 19, 1999.
He was born on December 30, 1925 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, a son of Mary Faggart Barringer and Guy Edney Barringer.
He was retired from Cannon Mills Company as a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of Mount Hermon Lutheran Church.
He served as an SP3 in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include wife Juanita Howell Barringer (now deceased as of September 27, 2000); sons Eddie Barringer of China Grove, and James "Jim" Barringer of Concord; brothers Wilson Barringer of Concord, and Wayne Barringer of Georgia; sisters Ruth and Doris Barringer, Betty Welch, Evyonne Shoe and Irene Greene, all of Concord; and three grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, at Mount Hermon Lutheran Church, officiated by Reverend T. C. Plexico. Burial was held at the church cemetery.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord was in charge of arrangements and visitation.
