BEAVER - Betty Jean Brinkerhoff Blackner was killed in an auto accident December 22, 2003.

She was born July 28, 1933 to John Samuel and Lucille Eyre Brinkerhoff. She married Orian J. Bauer and they were divorced 15 years later. She married Allen Blackner 18 years ago.

She was a member of the Ladies Elks, DUP, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved to sew and crochet. She enjoyed going hunting and fishing. She loved children and dogs. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Blackner of Beaver; sons, Robert Bauer of Green River, WY and Bob Blackner of Cedar City. She has two grandchildren; one sister, Syble Smith of Beaver. She was preceded in death by a son, John Orian Bauer and sister Bonnie Gray.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Beaver LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Friends may pay their respects on Friday at the Church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in West Valley City on Saturday, December 27 at 1:00 p.m.
