MARY ZAVALA ACOSTA, born December 22, 1920 in Roma, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2002 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Claro H. Acosta; two sons, Ray, Sr. and Raymond, Sr.; and two daughters, Cecilia and Clara Acosta. Mrs. Acosta is survived by her daughters, Theresa Cerda & husband David, Mary Alice Flores and Rita Terry; daughter-in-law, Gracie C. Acosta; sons, Steven Acosta and George Acosta; 24 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nicolasa Z. Flores & husband Jesus and Susie Z. Acosta & husband Valentine; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and many, many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Crespo Funeral Home~Tidwell Chapel. A rosary will be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 8, 2002 at 10:45 a.m. for the Celebration of the Funeral Liturgy at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
