An Ode to Jim
Your time on earth has ended, the light in your life is no more.
You have met your loved ones waiting over on that blissful shore.
You will feel the love of your family, mother and father who have gone on ahead.
Two sisters, a brother, and your Aunt Myrtle, and many others who are dead.
There will be no trials or temptations like the earthly ones you have known,
No pain from physical afflictions to face in that heavenly home.
We have felt your love and compassion for those you've helped along the way.
And for your service to our country we pay tribute to you today.
Our Savior has prepared the way, He died that we may live again,
It's part of the great Plan of Salvation made possible by our Heavenly Friend.
Today we will share some memories, we feel sorrow but quiet peace,
For we know our Heavenly Father loves you, He'll give us comfort and relief from our grief.
