JACKSONVILLE—Blanche Fisher Rhodes, 94 of Jacksonville died on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Britthaven of Jacksonville. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Family of God Church on Blue Creek Road with Elder Stacy Pierce, Rev. Randel Pierce and Rev. Wayne Hansley officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rhodes is preceded in death by her husband, Mabry Rhodes, daughter, Peggy Jackson, grandson, David Jackson and granddaughter, Sandy Miracle.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Miracle and her husband Charles and Florence Franklin both of Jacksonville; three sons, Stacy Rhodes and his wife Faye, Leonard Rhodes and Wendell Rhodes and his wife Cherry all of Jacksonville; three sisters, Vernell Campbell of Jacksonville, Ruth Rhodes of Hampstead and Marie Mullen of Harrisburg, WV; twenty five grandchildren, Pam Hansen, Clark Miracle, Wayne Miracle, Darrell Franklin, Alfred Franklin, Yvonne Foy, Benjamin Franklin, Steven Franklin, Theresa Harriss, Cindy Solomon. Michelle Miller, Ronnie Buxton, Teresa Ferling, Lisa Brown, Robbie Milligan, Jody Milligan, Rodney Rhodes, Wende Blankenship, Joseph Rhodes, Jennifer Taylor, Kelly Goodson, Bradley Rhodes, Robert Reyes, Alex Reyes and Heather Scott; 51 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday night, April 17, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Family of God Church Building Fund, 2012 Blue Creek Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540 or the Lions Club, 1110 Westmorland Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28540
