ADAMS, GEORGE W. - age 59 of 3232 Ashland Ave., died at Baptist Hospital, Tuesday night. He was an employee of Knoxville County Highway Department. Veteran of WWII. Member of Mascot United Methodist Church. Survivors: Sisters, Miss Ollie Adams, Mrs. Earl Lemons of Norfolk, Va.; brothers, Jack and Roy of Mascot, Bill of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 1 p.m. Friday at McCarty Chapel, Rev. Ralph Munsey officiating. Interment Roseberry Cemetery. Pallbearers: Buddy Jones, Glenn Jones, Scott Stinnett, Bob Jones, Henry Walton, Bill Robinson. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at McCarty Mortuary.
