Dora Dean Maxwell, 85, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005. She was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Rogers to William Henry Myers and Nora Catherine Myers. She enjoyed music, flower gardening, and arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Ash; her second husband, Earl Maxwell; and a son, Howard Dean Ash. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Ash of Pea Ridge, Ark., Donald Ash of Bethel Heights, Ark., and Ronald Ash of Rogers; a daughter and son-inlaw, Doris Varnell and Ken Varnell of Avoca, Ark.; a brother, Harold Myers of Pea Ridge; two sisters, Izella Hendricks of Marysville, Calif., and Hazel Clanton of Bakersfield, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Rollins Funeral Chapel in Rogers with Pastor Robert Ward. Burial will be at the Ruddick Cemetery near Garfield, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bradford House. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
