He was 47 years old.Glendon R. Arehart, 47, of 32 Eighth Street, Lemoyne, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at his home.
He was born in Hershey, Pa. and was the son of Lenora Crater Keath Arehart Garcia.
Glendon's employment was in the restaurant and food services in the Harrisburg area.
He was of the Protestant Faith and a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School Class of 1982.
Glendon was known by musicians and others as "Glen Rock". People thought his real name was Glen Rock. Glen played the guitar since he was 15 years old. Music and Glen were synonymous and was part of the band "Inside Out", which played many locations in the Harrisburg area.
He was also known at the many open mics as both a host and a player.
Glen was a guitarist and composer/lyricist. He created three CD's including his 2010 CD "Merry Christmas from Glen Rock".
Glendon's father, Marlin Arehart and brother Marlin, Jr. preceded him in death.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his step-father, Andres Garcia Jr. of Londonderry Township.; companion, Lorraine Grabarkas of Lemoyne; step-brothers, Gary R. Keath (Vicky) of Harrisburg, Richard L. Keath (Sue) of Marietta, step-sisters, Irvin Garcia (Anne) of Middletown, Andres Garcia III of Middletown, Nedy Garcia (Angel) of Queens, NY, Maribel Fry (Marty) of Carlisle; several nieces and nephews.
A tribute to his life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home And Cremation Services, Middletown, with the Rev. Robert M. Mlynek officiating.
Burial will be at Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown.
Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
