Rev. Carlice McKinley "Kin" McGlothlin, Sr., 90, of Centreville, died Oct. 20. He was born May 25, 1916 in Buchanan County to the late Nealy and Margie Arwood McGlothlin. He moved to Prince William County in 1939 where he managed the Whitmore Farm in Catharpin. He also lived in Hickory Grove and Waterfall before building his home in Centreville in 1958. He pastored the Brentsville Assembly of God Church from 1957-1967, when the congregation built the Bristow Assembly of God Church where he pastored until 1981. He was also a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Keene McGlothlin, in 1983; four grandchildren, Mark and John Mills, Sally Mills Blouin and Todd Dawson; one great grandson, Corey Reese; and 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors: wife, Rev. Linda Kennedy McGlothlin; daughters, Cathy LouElla Smith and Margie J. Mills, both of Culpeper, Peggy Schloe of Haymarket, Linda Smith of Sperryville, Sylvia Taylor of Nokesville, Betty Marcus of Catlett, Wanda Dawson of Marshall, Sue Dean of Reva, Sharon McGlothlin Dean of Timberville; sons, Carlice McGlothlin, Jr. of Barboursville and Wayne McGlothlin of Rose Hill, KS; 33 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Welch Street of Rowe. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Oct. 25 at Pierce-Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at Belvoir Assembly of God Church, 4180 Belvoir Road, The Plains, VA with Rev. D. Tony Willis officiating, assisted by Rev. Jerry Schloe and Rev. Ken Taylor. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery near Marshall.
