In 1907 when she was four, the family moved to settle on a clain in the Oklahoma panhandle. They lived in a dugout which was common practice for that time.
The family came to Shawnee in 1919 and she lived there until her death.
She served as County Clerk for 22 years and was an active member of the Business and Professional Women Club for 71 years.
She is survived by three sisters and many nieces and nephews.
