Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2003 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in St. Stephen for Alvina S. Omann, age 91, of St. Stephen, who died Tuesday at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Fr. Robert Harren will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Parish Cemetery. Friends may call form 4-9 p.m. Wednesday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish Prayers will be 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Alvina was born October 25, 1911 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Theodore and Anna (Finneman) Bohlsen. She married Victor Omann on April 24, 1935 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She lived in St. Stephen all of her married life where she and her husband owned and operated Pine Grove Bar for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Surviving Alvina are her children Annette (Harold) Legatt of Rice, Arlene Sauer of Rice, Thomas (Renee) Omann of Rice, Don (Judy) Omann of Sauk Rapids, Rodney (Daniella) Omann of Rice, and Donna (Allen) Johannes of Holdingford, 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, brother Norbert Bohlsen of Woodbury, and sisters Eleanor Leddy of St. Cloud, Jeanette Moore of Andover and Dolores Buttweiler of St. Paul.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband (1995), daughter Janice Brundage, brothers and sisters Lorraine Heim, Dorothy Justin, Florence Bohlsen, Frances Bohlsen, Angeline Feddema, Albert Bohlsen, Raymond Bohlsen and 2 infant brothers. Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clares Monastery.
