Mrs. Acker was the wife of Harold T. Acker Jr. She was born in Glen Falls, N.Y., but moved to Waynesboro as a young girl. She also had lived in Elkton 12 years and Moultrie, Ga., nine years before moving to the Mount Crawford area three years ago.
Mrs. Acker had attended Friedens United Church of Christ. She and Mr. Acker were married July 22,1957.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons; two brothers; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednbesday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. Edward Rawls. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
