Roxie Belle Childs, 65, a resident of Birchwood, died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital. She attended the Burdette Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Creed Childs of Birchwood; three daughters, Mrs. James L. (Maggie) Murray of Birchwood, Miss Lorene Childs of Birchwood, and Mrs. Steve (Mossie) Caldwell of Georgetown; two sons, Edgar Childs of Birchwood and Sam Childs of Decatur; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Newby and Mrs. Thelma Walden, both of Duff, Tenn.; and one brother, Otis Hutson of Dayton, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon in the North Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. David Evans officiating. Burial was in McIntruff Cemetery with Eddie Fortner, Jerry Helton, Tom Cilds, J.L. Prentice, Bud Childs, and Joe Hutson serving as casketbearers.
Buckner-Rush Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
