LAMESA - Elizabeth L. Brewer, 80, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Second Baptist Church in Lamesa with Brother Rush Coffman officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Groom with Tom Brewer officiating. Arrangements are by Branon Funeral Home.
Elizabeth Montgomery was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Lamesa to Lois Callaway and Perry Montgomery. She married Carol C. Brewer on Aug. 29, 1948, in Lamesa. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Beth and her husband enjoyed traveling in their RV for 29 years to bluegrass festivals. They also enjoyed meeting friends and spending the winter months in the Rio Grande Valley. She was an insurance agent for Farmers Union, where she was elected as Agent of the Year in 1972.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol C. Brewer; her parents; a daughter, Janice Erin Brewer; and two brothers, Donald Montgomery and Preston Montgomery.
Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Tommy Carroll Brewer and wife Cindy of Brazil, Robert Perry Brewer and wife Dawn of Seagraves, Gaye Nell Gregg and husband Jack of Andrews, Barbara Sue Brennan and husband Bob of Katy, and Elizabeth Rice and husband Lin of Midland; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, John H. Montgomery of Lamesa; and a sister, Edith Ann Hogg and husband Dell of Delhi, La.
The family suggests memorials be to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1008 Winscott Road, Suite B, Benbrook, TX 76126; or Second Baptist Church 1705 N. Bryan Ave., Lamesa, TX 79331.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the church.
