She was a daughter to Homer and Irene (Roller) Burnett-Lutz. Her parents and stepfather, Benjamin Franklin Lutz, are deceased. On Mar 11, 1949, she married Darrell I. Hartung, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Darrell (Nancy), Madison, IN; two daughters, Darla (Don) Hartung-Starns, Ellettsville, IN, and Denise Lynch, St. Marys; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Also deceased are two brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

She worked at Montgomery Ward and The Evening Leader, St. Marys.

The family is planning a celebration of her life after the first of the year.
