Genevieve L. "Genny" Kidd, 71, of Parsons, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 at the Elmhaven West Nursing Home in Parsons. She had been in failing health several months.

She was born Aug. 15, 1931 at Council Grove, Kan., a daughter of Ralph A. and Kittie Belt Campmier. She moved to Parsons with her parents in 1942 and attended Inglish School in Parsons.

She married Harrison B. Kidd on Sept. 6, 1949 at Erie. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1989. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the Foursquare Church of Parsons.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Kidd of Paola and Timothy Kidd of Parsons; two brothers, Paul Campmier of Chetopa and Ralph Campmier of Parsons; three sisters, Gladys Jones of Enid, Okla., Zelma Ames of Morrisonville, Il. and Aletha Zgonc of Sarcoxie, Mo.; and two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Schulze officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
