He was the father of 13 children, all but two of whom are still living. He was the grandfather of 67, of whom only 10 are dead, and the great-grandfather of 11, one of whom is dead. All of this numerous family are worthy and honored members of the community.
Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased, and were conducted by Rev H Lang. Father Hetrick, and all his children were members of the Lutheran Church. Pastor Lang has baptized most all of Father Hetricks numerous family, and most were confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
