He was born Oct. 23, 1923, at Attica to the late Jack and Ina Spikes.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Spikes of the home; daughters, Pam (Philip) Burton and Ann (Tim) Woodruff, all of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren, Bill and Bart Burton, and Libby and Mandy Woodruff.
Mr. Spikes was a World War II veteran serving in Germany. He also worked at Brown Shoe for 41 years and was a member of Pyburn Street Church of Christ.
Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
