Arthur Walkerdine, well known resident of Clay Township, passed away at the family home, two miles west of Algonac Tuesday, April 17, 1917, aged 95 years old. He was born in England Dec. 27, 1821, and has lived on the farm where he died, for the past sixty years. He was united win marriage to Miss Mary a. Robbins in 1847. She passed away Dec. 29, 1898. To this union were born three children, two of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. S. J. Mitchell, of Starkville, and Alfred Walkerdine, of Algonac. A daughter, Mrs. Rosa Kenworthy, passed away August 8, 1902. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Church of Christ of Algonac, Internment in Oaklawn Cemetery.
