Paul Edwin married Richie Callis on Oct. 31, 1964, in Mathews, Va. He served in the United States Army. He retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in 1985. He was a member of the Rowe Cross American Legion Post No. 68. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Richie (Callis) Adams, of the home; his daughters, Paula Maness, of McAlester, and Renee Stoops and husband, Richard, Mathews; son, Paul Adams Jr., of Kiowa. Also, brothers, Doy Adams and wife, Barbara, of McAlester, Ray Adams and wife, Vinda, of Ashland, and Robert Adams and wife, Betty, of Petaluma, Calif.; sisters, Lois Hall and husband, David, of Harper Valley, Patsy Sweetin and husband, Millard, of Ti Valley, Betty Ramey and husband, Bobby, of Kiowa, and Ella Ree Hall and husband, George, Longview, Texas. And, grandchildren, Tammy Stoops, Richmond, Va., Vanessa Crook and husband, Justin, Austin, Texas, and Richard Stoops III, Mathews, and great-granddaughter, Raylee Crook, Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Delta Marie Adams; brother, Dona Adams, and sister, Dorothy Hall. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chaney's Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Crook officiating. Burial will be at Savanna Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Fort Sill Honor Guard and American Legion Harrison-Powers Post No. 79. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be Marvin Sweetin, Kenney Sweetin, Shane Adams, Guy Gill, Caleb Johnston and Gary Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Kennith Jones, Doy Adams, Ray Adams, Henery Lee Hall, Bob Ramey, Jeremy Doyle, Russell Shields, Chester Johnston, Andy Johnston, Dexter Furr, Scott Hall, Mike Hall and Larry Gill.
