Shortly after the Civil War a family of Hutto's, in a migration comprised of several generations of Hutto's, journeyed from the South Alabama counties of Dale, Coffee and Geneva to the hill country of Talladega Co. They settled in various rural communities in the county and were mainly farmers. Henry and Louisa settled in at Patton Chapel and remained in Talladega Co for the rest of their lives. They were primitive Baptists and worshiped at Blue Eye Church. One of Henry's grandchildren recalled Henry mentioning 1833 the year that the "stars fell" and talked about seeing that famous meteor shower as a boy in SC. Henry and Louisa had five sons. All the boys are accounted for except for Monroe. Monroe married but moved elsewhere and the family lost touch with him. We do know that his daughter Emma Belle (1878-1971) married EP Nance in Rosston, Nevada Co AK But I have been unable to find Monroe or his wife on any census in Arkansas. Joe tragically died in a northern prisoner of war camp. John married and he and his family also settled at Patton Chapel. John's son, Joseph was a Talladega County commisioner for many years. Taylor married and settled in Idalia where he and his wife raised seven children. Ivy married and raised two large families. There are many descendents of Henry and Louisa living in the Talladega area and surrounding counties.
Henry and Louisa were my great great great grandparents.
