Funeral services for Addie Marie Robinson McIntyre of Gilbert, LA will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, Baskin, LA on Thursday, December 23 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Justin Winsted and Rev. Bill Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Addie was born October 4, 1930 and passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010. She was a former resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana where she retired after 30 years from Archway Bakery. Addie was a lovely lady who enjoyed her retirement by fishing off her pier on the Bayou Macon Cutoff, watching hummingbirds feed from her many feeders and working with beautiful flowers.
Addie was predeceased by her parents- Jack and Maggie Robinson; sisters - Dorothy and Laura; brothers - Bert, Ernest and Farris.
Survivors include her husband William "Bill" McIntyre of Gilbert; daughter - Lisa Nelson and husband Terry of Kentucky; son - Steve Saylor of Indiana; grandchildren - Keith Nelson, Kyle Nelson, Kristy Burnette and husband Ken; great granddaughter - Kaelyn McKenzie Burnette; sister - Lola Cox of London, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Nelson, Keith Nelson, Terry Nelson, Ken Burnette, Steve Saylor, and Leon McIntyre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynn McIntyre, James "Bubba" Williamson, Robert Newman,a nd Maxwell Wallace.
The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro on Wednesday, December 23, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The family requests that any planned memorials be made to the Friendship Baptist Church building fund, St. Jude's Research Hospital or the Shriner's organization.
