He was a graduate of Lyons High School in Clinton,and he married Martha Roese before he enlisted.He was a veteran and a Sgt. in World War II in the United States Army,a member of a quartermaster Corps truck unit in Iran and also awarded the Legion of Merit.He was a maintance planner at DuPont Cellophane Co.in Clinton,Iowa for 36 1/2 years.He was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Western Star Masonic Lodge 100,also a member of The First United Presbyterian Church.He has a brother,Leonard T. Eble of Independence,Mo.
