Eunice Adams Steed

Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Adams Steed, age 93, of Tyler, have been set for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale, with Dr. Jay Lockhart officiating. Burial will be Monday in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, Texas, under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.

Mrs. Steed died Friday morning in a Tyler nursing center. She was born Oct. 29, 1904, in Delta County, and was formerly of Winnsboro, before moving to Tyler seven years ago. Mrs. Steed was a member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ and was a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Steed in 1989, a son, James Ben Steed in 1933 and a grandson, Lynn Michael Baxter in 1997.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret Bynum of Tyler, and Jeanne and Jim Baxter of Tyler; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Chartene Steed of Lindale; a sister, Lois Randolph of Longview; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
