On Cotus Dunklin's TXDC #31844, the informant states that his mother was Rena Henderson.
I found an Alabama marriage record for George T. Dunklin that states he married Lorena I. Henderson on 25 SEP 1865 in Perry County, AL. This matches the mother of Cotus.

Mr. Dunklin was born November 15, 1868, in Marion county, Alabama, and at the time of his death was 73 years, 7 months and 19 days of age. He came to Texas at the age of 2 years and for the past 62 years had lived in LaRue.
Mr. Dunklin united with the Methodist Church at New York in the summer of 1892, but did not take an active part in the service of the church until about 1906 at which time he was re-claimed and united with the Methodist Church at LaRue. From this time to the time of his death, Mr. Dunklin was an active member of the LaRue Methodist Church, serving as Sunday School superintendent and also as a member of the board of stewards from the first year he became a member of this church until the time of his death.
On January 30, 1889, he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Emily Olinder and to this union was born eight children, six boys and two girls, of which one has preceded him in death.
His wife and the following children survive: John Thomas of LaRue; Mrs. Martha Catherine Dean of Athens; Mrs. Clara Mae Killion of Athens; Leslie Earl of LaRue; H.H. Dunklin of Avoca, Texas; Bivin Dunklin of Hamilton, Texas; James Alphus Dunklin of Abilene, Texas; one brother and seven sisters. There are also fourteen grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
The funeral services were conducted by the Reverend J.D. Weaver, pastor of the LaRue Methodist Church. Mr. Dunklin was a friend to man and a servant of God. Truly a servant of God has gone home.
