Mrs. Lillie Mae Birdsong, 81, of Elkton died Tuesday, January 4, in Giles County Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Elkton Methodist Church by the Rev. Norman Coke. Interment was in Elkton Cemetery.
Born in Texas, Mrs. Birdsong was the daughter of the late James and Etta Claude Shelton.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Willie Kinnear of Paradise, CA, and Mrs. Bobbie Whitt of Ardmore: six sons, Joe W. Birdsong of Robinson, Ill., Walton Birdsong of Mid West, OK., Julian Birdsong of New York, N.Y., W. H. Birdsong of Chicago, Ill., Bernard W. Birdsong of Tullahoma, Billy Birdsong of Madison; a half sister, Mrs. May Bunyard of Wichita, KA.; a half brother, Haywood Claude of Murfreesboro; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
