Thomas Francis Monahan Sr., was born on 12-25-1886 in Larksville, PA., resided at 441 North Maple Avenue, Kingston, Pa. He is the son of Patrick Monahan and Mary Cassidy. Tom lived in Larksville for most of his life, moving to Kingston two years ago which was 1962. Tom worked at No. 3 boiler room of No. 3 Colliery, Larksville, I believe this is Lance Colliery, as a fireman, retiring in 1951.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Church and its Holy Name Society and also a member of the United Mine Workers.

Tom's first wife was Bridget "Veronica" Burns, where married on 1-10-1911 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. They had three children, Mary Monahan Kundreskas - Kingston, James Monahan - Lebanon and Thomas Francis Monahan Jr. - Wilkes-Barre. Veronica died on October 27th, on Howard Street, Larksville during the 1918 Spanish Flu Epidemic.

By 8-27-1919, Thomas remarried his second wife Agnes Murphy, married by Rev. P.J. Colligan, in Plymouth, Pa.

Tom and Agnes had the following children: Agnes Monahan Fisher ( husband - William), William - died at age 5, Rita Yudichak - husband Joe-Kearny, N.J., Catherine Tiejen - husband Howard - Jacksonville, Fla, Joseph, Jane, and Francis - Scotia, N.Y. - in 1965 Frank traveled to Texas and settled in California. Also, surviving sister: Mrs. Elizabeth Monahan Daley.

The Funeral will be held from the Kielty Funeral Home, Bull Run, Plymouth. Tuesday morning at 9 with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 in St. Ignatius Church Kingston.

Interment will be in St. Vincent's DePaul Cemetery, Larksville. Friends may call Sunday and Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
