She was born July 13, 1917, to the late Ida and Richard Grammer, and was the oldest of five children. She was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters, and a son, Charles Harris Jr.
Catherine was married to John Holley.
She is survived by one sister, Helen "Tootsie" H.; five children, Brenda and James W., Billy and Betty H., Mike and Ilene H., David and Nancy H., and Donnie H.; two stepsons, Bobby and Ed H.; 40 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 20 foster children.
Catherine was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Dinwiddie.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Petersburg, with the graveside service at Bermuda Hundred Cemetery in Chester. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007.
