Lyle R. Case, 77, of Middlebury, died at unexpectedly at 10:37 AM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his residence. He
was born on January 12, 1933 in Grand Traverse, MI, to Guy and Ella (Perhall) Case. On October 21, 1950 in Grand
Traverse County, MI. he married Ruth M. Trager, she died September 4, 1991 then on February 20, 1993 in Middlebury he
married Glenda (Thornton) Stanley, she survives. Lyle was a horticulturist working for 42 years at Krider Nursery in
Middlebury, he later was the owner/operator of Case Greenery of Middlebury for 10 years. He was a member of Maple City
Chapel, Goshen and enjoyed woodworking and working outdoors. Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter -
Rosemary (Bob) Masters of Middlebury; son - David (Janice) Case of Middlebury; 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great-
Grandchildren, two Great Great-Granddaughters; brother - Terry (Sharon) Case of Kinsley, MI. He was preceded in death
by his parents, first wife, daughter, Laurie Puckett, grandson, Timothy Stopper, three brothers, Laverne, Merle and
Herbert Case, sister, Beatrice Case. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday December 21, 2010 at the Miller-
Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday December
22, 2010 also at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Pastors Gary Miller and Mel Shetler. Burial will be in
Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to the community relief fund of Maple City Chapel, to assist
local people in need.
