OBER, Ind. -- Mrs. Ettazene Clemons, 48, of Ober was dead on arrival at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox at 11:55 a.m. Saturday where she had been taken after being found unconscious in her home.
Starke County Deputy Coroner Raymond A. Braman ruled the death a suicide, caused by an overdose of sleeping pills.
Mrs. Clemons was born in Ohio on Sept. 14, 1922. She is survived by her husband, Cannon; two daughters, Patricia Ann and Kathleen, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Nora Risner, of Knox; and two brothers, William Risner and Buck Risner, both of Knox.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kennedy-Braman Funeral Home in Knox where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Luther Likens, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, Knox, will officiate.
