Wyoming was the daughter of Henry Jewett Gambill ("Gambill") Sprinkel & Catherine E. ("Kate") Yost. Her year of birth is an estimate; based on census records and her age at her death, she was most likely born in 1847 or 1848. Note that although the obituary posted here shows her middle initial as "T.," the 1860 and 1880 censuses, the newspaper announcement of her marriage, and her death record show her middle initial as "C."

She married John Thomas Wakenight on 21 Sept 1869 in Harrisonburg, VA.

They had six children: Emma W. (Henry, Chaplin); Mary K. (Kenney); Anna Maria; Gertrude C.; John H.; & Lou.
