OBITUARY:
Death of Laura Bolton
Laura, the 15 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Bolton passed to eternal rest and peace Tuesday night at her home northwest of town. Less then a year ago she was attacked by the great white plague, which is sending thousands into untimely graves daily all over this fair land and although a change of climate was sought and the best treatment known to modern science was resorted to, the bloom of youth faded from her fair face and the continual cough sounded a warning, those familiar with knew must end only to death.
Laura Bolton, whose sweet young life has seemingly gone so early was lovely in person and mind. In health, fair and fresh as a flower to look upon. Always pleasant, modest and good natured and a devout member of the church in which she was born and baptized. She was earnest and faithful in her duties and the old adage that the good die young was fully exemplified in her case.
Not only will her death bring sorrow and affliction to her parents, sisters and brothers, but a large circle of relatives and young friends were surely grieved over the loss of the bright spirit which has taken its flight after thirteen brief years of earthly existance.
The sincerest sympathy of the community is felt for the family in their hour of sorrow and is the prayer of all that God, in his divine wisdom and mercy, will give them strength to bear the parting from her, whose very presence was always a well spring of joy and hope.
