Born November 28, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Fleckenstein.
She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a charter member and past treasurer of the Catholic Daughters of America and was a member of the Rush Consolidated Mother's Club and member of the Retired School Employees Retirement System.
She was a graduate and Valedictorian of the Philipsburg High School class of 1933.
She was formerly a secretary with the Thompson and Baird Law office of Philipsburg and was also a secretary for State Senator Thompson. She was later employed as a secretary at the Philipsburg Elementary School until her retirement.
She is survivived by two daughters, Patricia Swanson and her husband Leroy of Philipsburg and Louise Conklin and her husband Marvin of Drifting; two sons, William H. Craven and his wife Dolly of Elizabethtown and Jerome M. Craven and his wife, Veronica of Philipsburg; as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren..

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Craven; three sisters, Helen Lergenmiller, Irene Duck and an infant sister, Catherine; one brother, John Fleckenstein; and one great-granddaughter Christine Wychryst.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg with the Reverend Emmanual Sackor as celebrant.
Friends will be received at the Beezer Heath Funeral Home, 719 Spruce Street in Philipsburg on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Christian Vigil Service both on Thursday at the funeral home.
