Daughter of William Brinkley Midgett & Florence Virginia Midgett. Wife of Albert Davis Pringle (ma. 1938).

MANTEO - Mrs. Lucille Mae Midgett Pringle, 87, of Manteo, died Jan. 22, in an Elizabeth City hospital. A native of Manteo and former resident of Norfolk, Va. and Chicksaw, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William Brinkley and Florence Virginia Midgett.

Her father, an engineer of the Coast Guard supply boat, in 1897 ran the first gas engine that ever went to Dare County.

She was the widow of Albert Davis Pringle. In her youth, she attended Southern Conservatory of Music and was a member of the original cast of "The Lost Colony".

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charles LaRue and one grandson, Etienne LaRue, both of Lapinata Flintridge, Ca. She was the proud great-grandmother of six children.

Funeral services were held in Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Jan. 25, with the Rev. Clarence Garner officiating. Burial was in the Manteo Cemetery. The family received friends at the Baytree Apartments community building after the funeral. Twiford's Colony Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
