Wednesday, July 18, 1973

Martin Paul SHRIVER, 63, R.R. 5, Rochester, died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn hospital where he had been a patient one day.

Born Sept. 9, 1909, at Akron, he was the son of Clarence and Jessie ACHEY SHRIVER. He had spent most of his life in Fulton county and was a pipefitter by trade. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Rochester American Legion post.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Sandra) TYLER, R.R. 6, Rochester; one son, Martin P. SHRIVER, R.R. 5, Rochester; one step-daughter, Mrs. Larry (Paulette) WOODWORTH, Sarasota, Fla.; his father, of R.R. 6, Rochester; three grandchildren, Valerie, Jayne and Joseph TYLER, all of R.R. 6, Rochester; one step-granddaughter, Kimberly BROCKEY, Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred HARPER, Akron; Miss Iva SHRIVER, Rochester; two brothers, Floyd [SHRIVER], R.R. 1, Argos, and Lloyd [SHRIVER], West Palm Beach, Fla.

Final rites will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Foster & Good funeral home. The Rev. C. J. MOWRER will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday until the time of service.
