She was born Sept 14, 1882, in Mississippi County, where she had lived all her life. She was the daughter of the late Judge W. T. and Amarilla Harris Marshall.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship of which she was president for more than 25 years, the Amarilla Rebekah Lodge and the Past Noble Grand Club.
On April 22, 1903, she married Joseph A. Howlett who preceded her in death March 6, 1947.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. B. P. (Martha) Howlett and Miss Lucille Howlett; a sister, Mrs. Wayman Luten; two grandsons, Col. Byron P. Howlett and John Joe Howlett; and seven great-grandchildren. Four Brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at the First Christian Church here. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
