Arleen Amanda was born on October 27, 1927 on the family homestead in Lincoln County near Hendricks, MN. She was the eldest of four children born to Gilbert and Ina (Reiten) Ramlo.
She was baptized on November 20, 1927 at the Norwegian Lutheran Free Church in Hendricks and was confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Hendricks. Arleen made many lifelong friends before graduating from Hendricks High School.
On July 15, 1953, Arleen married Howard John Zillhart of Ivanhoe, at Calvary Lutheran Church parsonage in Hendricks. The couple farmed near Burr until moving to Canby in 1957.
A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Arleen remained an avid reader, Bible student, and active church member. She often visited those who were homebound, giving rides. She was proud of her family, fond of her friends and committed to enjoying life in every circumstance.
Arleen is survived by her four children, Dennis of Minneapolis, Phyllis (Ruth Frost) of Minneapolis, Dale (Mary) of Maple Grove, and Neil of Coon Rapids; eight grandchildren; brother, Arden Ramlo, of Apple Valley; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents, Gilbert and Ina Ramlo; brother, Glendon Ramlo; sister, Myra Ramlo; daughter, Joyce Ann; and granddaughter, Alyssa Zillhart.
Blessed be her memory.
