Funeral services for Mr. Shannon Laffoon, 54 of Clarks, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Covenant Christian Worship Center in Columbia with Bro. Larry Adkins and Bro. Dean Love officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia.
Shannon was born August 13, 1956 to Dewey and Lorene Laffoon in Columbia and he passed from this life on December 16, 2010 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.
He worked for the Highway Department for twenty three years. He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Clarks and he loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his father: Dewey Laffoon; one sister: Lisa Delaine Laffoon.
He is survived by his wife of twenty six years: Shelia Laffoon of Clarks; two daughters: April Black and her husband Steven of Columbia; Katie Laffoon of Clarks; one son: Jordan Laffoon of Clarks; two sisters: Nelda Jordan and her husband Tim of Columbia; Teresa "Co Co" Ferguson of Clarks; two grandchildren: Michael and Macie Black; in-laws: C.A. and Vertie Meredith; and two special pets, his babies: Buddy and Lucy.
Pallbearers will be William "Tadpole" Erwin, Burt Rogers, Eddie Whitten, Larry Taylor, Gary Holmes, Benny Douglas, Bill Spangler, and Kevin Thompson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamie Stapleton and Billy Ray McNemar.
