Sarah Mathilde Kizziah-Thompson formerly of Sanford, Florida died suddenly at her home in Huntsville, Alabama Monday, October 25, 2010.
She is a daughter of Clarence Robert and Lessie Mae Rodgers-Kizziah and was born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina December 19, 1927.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years James Monroe Thompson, Sr. in 1990. She worked at Sobik's Sub Shop and Sanford Dry Cleaners for many years.
Also preceding her were her parents, a brother John Robert Kizziah, a brother Hazel Brooks Kizziah and a sister Geneva Ruth Kizzizh-Gil.
She is survived by a son James M. Thompson, Jr. and wife Lisa of Huntsville, AL; A grandson James M. Thompson III and wife Robin and great granddaughter Katelyn Renee Thompson and Step great grandson Michael Kallaher all of Louisville, KY Grandson Jeremy Martin Thompson, Sr. and great grandson Isaac James Thompson of Ocoee, FL and great grandson Jeremy Martin Thompson, Jr. of McDonald, TN,
Also surviving is her older brother Clarence Rodgers Kizziah and wife Billie of Salisbury, NC.
A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, Lake Mary, Florida on Friday and she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
