Roger Bennett Currier, age 61, of Caryville, TN, formerly of Dryden, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009. He was born January 4, 1948 in Royal Oak, the son of Steven Russell and Muriel Vida (Strong) Currier. Roger attended Troy High School. Roger served in Vietnam with the US Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, the American Legion Post #58 and the Eagles all in LaFollette, TN. He was also a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars in Lake City, TN.

Mr. Currier is survived by his former wife Ruth Currier of LaFollette, TN; sons Russell J. Currier and Ryan D. Currier of LaFollette, TN; stepson Robert C. Smith of Davison; daughter Raenelle Morton of LaFollette, TN; stepdaughters Rebecca Muse and Roxanne Miller, both of LaFollette, TN; brothers James R. (Elsie) Currier of Lapeer; and Stephen R. (Sandra) Currier of Troy; sisters Carole A. (Raymond) Ballard of Fancy Farm, KY and Marlyn E. (Thomas) Clees of Goodrich; 2 grandchildren Terrance Morton and Elija Currier; and 16 step-grandchildren. Roger was expecting 2 more grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 2pm at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Almont with Father Wayne Ureel officiating. Family will receive friends from 11am to 2pm before the service. Committal service will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dryden.
