Adam was born on Dec. 1, 1918. He received all his education at High Ridge School, which was two miles south-west of the family farm. Adam spent most of his life on the farm, except for from Sept. 14, 1942 to Feb. 2, 1946 when he served in the Royal Canadian Army. On July 26, 1949 Adam married Georgina Diebolt, and they raised three children, John, Lori Jane and Ilona. Adam was a self taught musician who enjoyed playing many instruments such as the banjo, guitar, piano, autoharp, mouth organ and his all time favorite, the fiddle. Adam's hobby was making rope halters, which resulted in him supplying many halters to a large number of people around the Kennedy area as well as other parts of Canada, the United States, Japan, Russia, Denmark, England and Scotland. Besides his family, Adam took great pride in his 1952 IHC Truck which he had purchased new, and was still drivable when he passed away. Adam loved the farm and continued to live there until his death in 2009.
