Charlotte Jo Allen, 86, of Springfield died Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Essex House. She was born May 10, 1923 in Freedom, Indiana the daughter of Ned B. and Eliza (Wood) Hoagland. Mrs. Allen was retired from Springview Center and was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church (now New Hope Church) for over fifty years.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law James L. and Carol Allen, and Frank Allen; two daughters and sons-in-law Jerrie and Arthur Mollett, and Betty Jane and Clyde Ward, all of Springfield; two brothers and a sister-in-law Sam and Sharon Hoagland of California, and Petit Hoagland of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; one sister and brother-in-law Jackie and Roy Litteral of Kissimmee, Florida; a sister-in-law Ella Mae Hoagland of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ambrose F. Allen, Sr.; sister Eunice Hoagland; brother Ned B. Hoagland; daughter-in-law Sharon Allen and sister-in-law Kay Hoagland.

Friends may call Wednesday from 1-2 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM. in the Memorial Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
