ORLANDO HOLGUIN

CARLSBAD--Orlando Jerry Holguin, 46, of North Fifth Street, died Friday, March 3, 1995, at home.

Mr. Holguin will line in state from 5 to 9 p.m. today at San Jose Catholic Church. There will be no funeral home visitation.

A Christian wake will be held for him at 7 p.m. today at San Jose Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with Father Dominic Manion as celebrant. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Mr. Holguin was born on June 9, 1948, in Carlsbad to Julian and Hortencia Holguin. He grew up in California and moved back to Carlsbad during his teen years. He worked as a taxi driver for McCabe Taxi Service. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church and a member of the Moose Lodge. He loved to play dominoes.

Survivors include son, Michael Holguin of Albuquerque; daughter, Teresa Holguin of Albuquerque; sisters, Velma Rocha of Carlsbad, Olga Carrasco, Laura Carrasco, Gloria Carrillo and Karen Spandet of El Paso; and two grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
