Mrs. Maggie Mattson

Mrs. Maggie Mattson, the daughter of Henry and Anna Hendrickson, was born at Suomassalmi in Finland, on May 15, 1875. She passed away February 13, following an illness of two weeks in the Mid-Columbia Hospital at The Dalles, Oregon. She was 68 years, 8 months and 28 days of age.

She came to Centerville, Washington from Finland in 1892, and made her home there and at Goldendale to the time of her death. She was married to Elmer Mattson, February 4, 1894. To them two children were born; Mabel Guinan, of Goldendale, and Ernest Mattson, of Centerville.

Besides her children she is survived by two granddaughters, Judith and Stephanie Mattson; two sisters, Mrs. August Mattson and Mrs. John Walman, both of Goldendale; one brother, Henry Hendrickson, of Seattle.

Her husband preceded her in deal a little over two years ago. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Funeral services were held from the Phillips Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 16, at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. P. Glenn Garner officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
