======================================
Helen Marie and twin sister, Hazel Marie, were born on April 29, 1924 to Clarence and Willie Arnold.

She spent her formative years in Love County, Okla., graduating from Purcell High School in 1943. Helen and Hazel delighted in dressing alike and as identical twins, occasionally switched identities. They were each other's best friend and shared their birthday with great-grandson, Derek Rothfuss.

During WWII, Helen was a "Rosie the Riveter" at Douglas Aircraft, in OKC. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Tal, and moved to CA where their children would be born. A stay at home mom while her children were young, she took great pride in her work on space mission parts for Fairchild Semi-Conductor, retiring in 1985.

Until recently, Helen was an active member of Eastern Star, and also served as Mother Advisor for the local chapter of Rainbow Girls. A very talented person, she enjoyed crochet work, sewing, crafts and firmly believed that everyone needed an afghan.

Helen loved her Church family at Campbell Orchard Community Church and her role as greeter. Though her very active life was cut short with the onset of Pulmonary Fibrosis, she retained a strong spiritual faith and a sense of humor that will be remembered forever.

Preceded in death by her sister and brother, Alameda and Earl Arnold and grandson, Brian Gallup, the Paynes were blessed with their 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
